Dave doesn't agree with me that there is a large slice of Americans that listen to the authority figures they have been taught to believe which explains why the Republicans can lie about health reform in every aspect and their followers will believe them. When you ask Americans about each individual aspect of the healthcare bills now before Congress they agree with all of them, but when you ask them what they think about reform they are marginally against it. I blame the liars and Dave blames those that listen to the lies.
I just watched a commercial where the local liars asked us to support the local lying congressman as he lied to the world about health care reform. "Oppose the Obama-Pelosi billion dollar takeover of your healthcare." This was the operating slogan. I would say blame the liars and the people who listen to them, but it's hard to believe anyone can hear this shit without laughing and walking away from it. I'm starting to think Dave is right; if people believe this garbage from the radical right, then nothing good is ever going to happen again.
